Withers

If I were a high horse
Running free on a plain
I would stop at nothing
Not even the reins

Wild and strong
Tall at the withers
Freedom calling
No matter the weather

And when I am tired
I would lay in the cool grass
And drink from cool streams
Wherever I pass

Stoic Poetry
